Steadfast. Immovable(Part IV) is the fourth of an 11 part series of poems I wrote in 2010 during a time of transition. Transition has always been hard for me, but this situation, I really experienced God shepherding my heart as I left one role and move onto another. He did a lot of shifting on the heart level for me. These poems celebrate how constant and strong He is in the midst of life's uncertainty. (1 Corinthians 15.58)
Christ steadfast. immovable.
unending glorious weight,
the inked blood on our heart
He wrote the secrets in light
our essence more Him than us,
our fears, more His that ours,
our hope, is life only in Him
our passion, He wears it like wool,
the fire within us burns
because His eyes twinkle
they melt our souls.
and we shiver.
tasting delights in rivers
and splash in joy
and swim in grace
oh, we drink in love
and breath in hope
it sounds like life
a silent, long satisfaction
oh hope, oh joy, oh grace, oh love
our life is His satisfaction!
