Steadfast. Immovable (Part III) is the third of an 11 part series of poems I wrote in 2010 during a time of transition. Transition has always been hard for me, but this situation, I really experienced God shepherding my heart as I left one role and move onto another. He did a lot of shifting on the heart level for me. These poems celebrate how constant and strong He is in the midst of life's uncertainty. (1 Corinthians 15.58)
Christ steadfast. immovable.
a thousand fingers point to you.
an outpour of love and adoration
a new song for every generation
oh – ache
oh – love
oh – process
interceding, proclaiming, overcoming
You met our Father’s hand in Yours
You share desire, motive, pure.
sing, the Dangerous One,
sing the motive for death and life again
speak the freedom in Spirit and truth
that you spoke while flesh-wrapped and roped to Him
the gift, unending glory, to the Life-breath
the sign that men live
despite the graces we forget
oh, the hope Your life gives!
