YHWH, my Father (Part II)

YHWH, my Father

when shall I see Your face?
when will i look you in the eye, certainly
i have fled so many times…
(i cannot hide)
words will not be enough
the twisting Spirit freely gives
so many thoughts, pour out
my heart, let my motion be among the few
who’ve served You long and hard.

if we hold our fleeting hearts,
bring love back to us
if we wait among the crowd
let You voice speak again
when the silly questions enter,
how tender You understand

yet do, let’s, be, hold, when? (well i don’t know)

i sit before Your throne,
and did i wander here?
i sit before You asking
and think,

“whom do i have but You?
And who do i desire like You?
my heart and flesh may fail,
but You are enough
                          always enough.
