Love is a cloud
That comes and settles without warning,
A mist of meaning,
A heavy rain looking soft,
But becomes a think fog or gale…
Love is a zoo
Surfacing childhood memories of things
You both did and didn’t want to see.
Everything behind the fence isn’t threatening
Till it’s touching…
Love is a mess
A silly stoopid smoothy of pancakes
And riddles, summed up stories and incomplete lives,
Tales of triple vulnerabilities and wondering ogling eyes
A terrible mix of unintentional ties…
Love is the sun
A close burn
And you’ll die.
But you sure as hell,
Can’t survive without its light.
