A Morning's Muse

rest o' heavy heart of mine

and lay your head to softest low

mind unwind

and in time

surprised by the internal glow

hand that presses on my chest

and bids my blood to beat

can't express

weriness

i should be strong in thee

but i will sing of unbroken bones

shattered swords, swung and lost

loudest woes

sealed stones

one spear, three nails and a cross

to wake a morn and not relive

the only thing that changed this day

i will give

nothing less

than what my savior gave away
